Donor Advised Funds

A Donor Advised Fund, or “DAF”, is a simple, tax investment process that allows donors to make a meaningful charitable contribution and receive an immediate tax deduction. DAF are established through sponsoring organizations such as the charitable arms of financial service firms or community foundations.
Please note that if benefits are associated with the DAF contribution, the gift is not 100% tax-deductible such as membership benefits or event sponsorship tickets. Donors may be able to waive receipt of their benefits but it is recommended to consult with your tax professional prior to your gift.

Appreciated Securities

Charitable contributions do not always have to be in cash. Appreciated securities, including stocks and bonds, are another easy, tax-effective way to make an impactful gift. By donating your appreciated securities to us directly, this allows you to transfer your assets tax-free and gives you increased savings on your taxes!

Matching Gifts at Work

You do not have to support us alone. Your company may be one of thousands that want to give back to their local community through an employer matching gifts program that is looking for nonprofit organizations to support. With an employer matching gifts program, your employer can match your contribution to us, doubling your impact! Find out if your company matches their employees’ gifts here.

Additionally, your employer’s support does not need to stop after you retire. All you have to do is speak with your Human Resources department to find out how they can continue to match your gifts even after you have retired.

Help us reduce operating expenses and direct vital funds to enhance our educational programming and outreach. Every contribution makes a difference! Here is a current wish list of items in need:
  • Copy paper (8.5 x 11 – Double A Brand preferred)
  • Address labels (White, laser labels 1″ x 2 5/8″ – 3M Brand preferred)
  • Office Depot Gift Cards (we take advantage of loyal customer discounts to stretch our buying dollars)
